Clermont: Holloway rather than Hanigan, finally?

In search of a second line of international stature, the ASM had studied several profiles of Australian internationals. If Ned Hanigan had been mentioned, the recruiters would have, according to our information, finally set their sights on one of his compatriots: Jed Holloway. (30 years old, 10 selections). Holder against France in November, the Waratahs player can play in second and third line.

Eager to renew their pack with a versatile forward, the Clermontois are about to find their happiness in Australia. While Ned Hanigan (27 years old, 28 selections) was expected, it would ultimately be Jed Holloway (1.95 m, 118 kg), his selection and provincial partner, who would join the Auvergne club after the World Cup. Revealed late, the Wallaby has the particularity of being able to play 4, 6 or 8. At the end of his mandate, Dave Rennie had made him a basic man in his pack: he had notably been established four times during the November tour (Scotland, France, Ireland and Wales). In the recent past, he had been courted by Usap, in vain.

Marcel-Michelin is preparing to see an impressive contingent of Southern internationals arrive this summer: if the arrival of Holloway is not yet official, those of the All Black Pita Gus Sowakula and the Wallaby Folau Fainga’a have already already been recorded by the ASMCA.
