Arrived in 2019 at AJ Auxerre and great architect of the rise in Ligue 1 last season, the left side Quentin Bernard (33 years old, 7 games in L1 this season) leaves the Burgundian club six months from the end of his contract . The two parties “have decided by mutual agreement to terminate the contract which bound them”, specifies the AJA in a press release this Friday.
The former Brestois played 110 games in the Auxerre jersey. But, in recent months, he was relegated behind Gideon Mensah in the hierarchy at his post. It now remains to be seen whether Auxerre will recruit a player to replace him or choose an internal solution with Kenji-Van Boto, who returned from a loan to Pau FC last summer and appeared eight times in the group this season.
