Will Atherton goes further. The Cocker Spaniel is said to be the “number one breed people get for the wrong reasons”. The behaviorist is adamant: “Because of this, they exhibit responsiveness, barking, pulling, resource guarding, and terrible recall.”

Similar to the cocker spaniel, Will Atherton points the finger at cane corso owners: “Again, people are getting them for the wrong reason without the time, dedication or experience required, which leads to dogs to have a bad reputation as reactive and aggressive dogs.” The behaviorist therefore believes that masters must first and foremost become aware of what is good for their animal.
